Folks are pleased to offer for your consideration this antique Waltham Pocket Watch circa 1919. This all original Waltham Pocket Watch is stem wound and stem set and is a size 12 measuring 1¾ inch in diameter. The Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch Pocket of the day was a symbol of prestige and status and manufactured to the highest of standards and we have an excellent example with this wonderful configuration. The Waltham 17 Jewel Model 1894 Movement, Waltham Dress Dial, beautifully Blued Steel Breguet Hands and housed in this popular and ornate Green Gold Fill Case manufactured by the Wadsworth Case Company. I so hope the many pictures and extreme magnification helps tell the story of this Waltham Dress Pocket Watch of the day.

This Waltham Dress Dial is finished in a gold tone and the contrast between the black stylized Arabic Numerals and the Green Gold Fill Case shows beautifully. This fine dial also has an ornate sunken sub-chapter for the second hand. This fine dial is highlighted with the beautifully heat-treated Blued Steel Breguet style hands. This fine movement is housed is this Wadsworth Case Company Green Gold Fill Case. The Wadsworth Case Company has the reputation for manufacturing the finest of cases. Typically, they offered Yellow and Rose Gold Cases and not as common they also offered Green Gold Fill Cases from the late teen’s through the 1920’s. While it is not a bright green it does have a nice subtle hue that has remained popular. This fine Waltham Pocket Watch is ready for daily use of as a wonderful addition to any collection.

The Waltham movement is the desired Model 1894 Movement. The Model 1894 configuration was manufactured from 1908 through 1931 and was a mainstay in the Waltham Watch Companies line up of fine offerings. This fine movement has 17 jewels and is stem set and stem wound. This Grade 235 is referred to as a ¾ Plate Nickle Silver Movement. The movement is in excellent condition with a gold center wheel, flush and raised screw gold jewel settings, Breguet Hairspring, and is adjusted to position and temperature. We also have a steel escapement, micro regulator and gold balance weights all designed for added accuracy and dependability. This fine Waltham Dress Pocket Watch has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper.

This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.

This Antique Waltham Pocket Watch has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy. This entails a complete disassembly and all parts cleaned and reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease.
