This Illinois Railroad Grade Bunn Special Model 6 is an exciting timepiece. It was produced in 1900 during the golden age of the steam locomotive and American railways from sea to shining sea. This Bunn Special's movement is extremely rare because it features the highly sought but seldom found high grade 24 jewel movement and exquisite demaskeened finish. The desirability and rarity of this timepiece is further enhanced by its configuration. The movement is faced with a stunning yet seldom seen Old English font dial, including the Arabic numerals and the Illinois Watch Co. signature. The outstanding features of the movement and dial configuration are housed in a Fays Case Company, Pat. Feb 19th 1884 No. 1 case. The case back is embellished with the gorgeous handiwork of craftsmen at the turn of the 20th century exhibiting beautiful floral etchings and a blank cartouche just waiting for an intial to launch a family heirloom tradition. This pocket watch makes the perfect gift, or addition to your collection. It is made of the finest materials and handicraft of its day making it an exceptional piece to wear or display as well.
