Pristine Waltham Railroad Pocket Watch 23 Jewel Vanguard with Up Down Wind Indicator Housed in the Stirrup Bow Case circa 1908
Folks we have a truly special offering for your consideration with this antique American Waltham 23 Jewel Vanguard Pocket Watch circa 1908. This all-original Waltham Railroad Pocket Watch in excellent condition and a rare find with one of the most desired configurations. We have the highest of grades 23 Jewel Vanguard Movement, Up Down Wind Indicator, Montgomery Triple Sunk Railroad Dial, Keystone Case Company Stirrup Bow Case highlighted with the Blued Steel Hands. The Up Down Wind Indicator reads how much time is left on that wind or mainspring as to not accidentally let the pocket watch run out of mainspring and stop timing, this is in the recessed sub register at the 12:00 position. This was a critical function for a Railroad Pocket Watch yet too expensive for most to afford and not produced in large quantities. We have a rare and collectable Waltham Vanguard Railroad Pocket Watch in a league with only the very finest of pocket watches manufactured. I so hope the many pictures and extreme magnification helps in the description. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. All Antique and Vintage Pocket Watches are cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy and warranted for 1 full year from the date of purchase.
