This is one of the highest-grade pocket watches manufactured by the Hamilton Watch Company or any other watch manufacture of the day. This Ball Hamilton Model 999P was manufactured in partnership with Webb C. Ball who at the request of the U.S Department of the Interior set the standard for timekeeping in 1894. Webb C. Ball did not produce any pocket watches himself; rather he worked with the major watch companies to produce these finest of Railroad Grade Pocket Watches. The serial number would be the major identifier as to the manufacture working with Ball. This is truly a collector's pocket watch, it is referred to as triple signed that is the dial, movement and case is all marked Ball Model. This is truly an exceptional Ball Hamilton Grade 999 Pocket Watch and ready for daily wear or as a wonderful addition to any collection. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
