This Illinois Bunn Special Type III 60 Hour was the Illinois company’s answer to the railroad industry’s increasing regulatory and safety demands. With its 60 Hour Motor Barrel, this watch can go longer between winds, an essential feature that made it less likely that a rail worker’s timepiece would stop mid-service.   

The movement of this watch is in excellent condition and includes the 60 Hour Motor Barrel, 21 rubies in raised gold settings, and a ray pattern nickel finish. It was produced in 1927 and is a Railroad Grade timepiece. 

This watch also features an uncommon and much sought-after Green Gold Fill Case. The subtle green hue of the case is sure to catch the eye of discerning collectors. The case is in excellent condition, with some hard to notice brassing on the perimeter. 

The gorgeous dial is in excellent condition, with a heavy ink saturation that makes a bold statement, further enhancing the rich appearance of this watch. Elegant heat-treated hands complement the dial, shaded to a purple hue that you will find only in watches by Illinois.
