Folks we are pleased to offer for your consideration this pristine antique Waltham Pocket Watch Railroad Grade Crescent St. circa 1926. This is a stunning Lever Set Railroad Pocket; a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of size pocket watch. This all original Waltham has one of the most desired configurations with the antique damasking on the 21 Jewel Movement, Waltham Railroad Dial, Keystone Case Company 10K Gold Fill Case and highlighted with the beautifully heat-treated Blue Steel Hands. The Waltham Watch Company was known for high grade Railroad Pocket Watches and this is an excellent example of both beauty and accuracy in timekeeping. I so hope the pictures and extreme magnification help tell the story of the truly fine Waltham Railroad Pocket Watch.

This antique Waltham Railroad Dial is in pristine condition bright white with heavy ink saturation. This Double Sunk Waltham Dial has the classic bold Arabic Railroad font numerals around the outer circumference. Then we have the recessed center chapter for the Waltham logo with another recessed sub chapter for the ornate Waltham second hand. This fine porcelain dial is beautifully crafted with an unusually heavy amount of porcelain and ink used to craft this dial. This Waltham Double Sunk Dial is made by soldering three Copper plates together and then baking on many layers of Silica to give the dial the depth and the deep rich porcelain finish. This fine dial is highlighted with the original heat-treated beautifully Blued Steel Spade Whip Railroad Hands also in pristine condition. This all original timepiece is housed in this 10K Gold Fill case manufactured by the Keystone Case Company. The case back has a brush finish also known as a “Butler’s” finish and shows very little wear. This Waltham shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

his pristine Waltham Crescent St. Movement has the desired antique damasking with lettering highlighted in black. The grade Crescent St. has 21 jewels and is referred to as a ¾ Plate Nickel Silver finish. This movement is also adjusted to 5 positions and temperature with a double roller, Lossier Hairspring with a high grade Ohlson 1908 Regulator. The Crescent St. also has gold balance weights, raised and flush gold jewel settings, gold center wheel and train with a steel escapement. This fine movement is designed for added durability and accuracy. This Waltham Pocket Watch has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.

This is another excellent example of the late 19th and early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.

This Antique Pocket Watch has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy. This entails a complete disassembly and all parts cleaned and reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease.
