Vintage Elgin Pocket Watch Railroad Grade 571 Housed in this Elgin 10K Gold Fill Streamline Railroad Case circa 1947
We are pleased to offer for your consideration this high-grade Elgin Railroad Pocket Watch circa 1947. This Elgin Railroad Grade 571 Pocket Watch is an Elgin top of the line offering. This fine timepiece is lever set and stem wound and a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter, the most popular of sizes. This Grade 571 is highlighted with this rare Elgin Boxcar Dial; we have both the dp design and the Star under the Elgin Logo. The dp design was for the Dura Power Mainspring, a newly developed alloy, stronger and more flexible for added accuracy and dependability. The Star is for the grade of movement. We have a wonderful all-original configuration for your consideration with this Grade 571 Movement, pristine porcelain Boxcar Dial and housed in this Elgin/Keystone Case Company 10K Yellow Gold Fill Case and highlighted with beautifully blued Steel Spade Whip/Hands. I so hope the pictures and extreme magnification help tell the story of this classic Elgin Railroad Pocket Watch. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. This Antique Pocket Watch has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy. This entails a complete disassembly and all parts cleaned and reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease. This Vintage Elgin Pocket Watch is warranted for 1 full year from the date of purchase.
