Pristine Illinois Dress Pocket Watch Rare High Grade 407 with Gold Screws Housed in a Stellar Two Tone Tetradecagon Gold Fill Case circa 1926
Folks we have a truly special offering for your consideration in this rare Illinois Watch Dress Pocket Watch circa 1926. This Grade 407 had a very limited and unusual production run, with a total production of only 5,360 in total from 1913 through 1927. They had 4 production years with only 30 pocket watches manufactured in 1913 and 30 in 1914, in 1926 they produced 2,300 and 1927 a total of 3000 to complete this edition. This fine movement is highlighted with a gold regulator and gold screws and a gold filled train, truly a rare configuration with all the possible parts are gold or gold filled. This Grade 407 is housed in an exquisite Star Case Company Tetradecagon Shape Case, that is a rare 14-sided case. This fine case is finished in a rare two-tone White and Yellow Gold Fill. This Gentlemen's Dress Pocket Watch of the day is a size 12 measuring 1¾ inch in diameter and was a symbol of prestige and status and manufactured to the highest of standards. We have one of the finest examples of an extremely rare high-grade Illinois Gentlemen's Dress Pocket Watch of the day. This is another excellent example of the late 18th early 19th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
