We have of one of the most popular configurations with this pristine Hamilton Double Sunk Railway Special Boxcar Dial, 992B Lever Set Movement, original Black Steel Spade/Whip Railroad Hands housed in this Yellow Gold Fill Hamilton Model #16 Case. This configuration was advertised by Hamilton as “factory cased and timed”. The Hamilton Grade 992B Movement was the pinnacle and the last of the great Hamilton Railroad Grade Pocket Watches introduced. This Grade 992B was consider to have the finest metal alloys and the finest design in timekeeping. The Grade 992B was first produced in 1940 and the last produced in 1969 with a total production of 685,300 over 29 years in 31 production runs. This Hamilton 992B is faced the pristine and highly desired Railway Special Dial. Not all the 992B’s received the “Railway Special” Dial. This is truly the classic Hamilton Railway Special with the desired “Boxcar”Hamilton Arabic font numerals. This finest of dials is made using 3 Copper plates soldered together and then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dials the deep rich porcelain finish. The dial has the raised outer circumference with the classic Boxcar font numerals then with we have the sunken center chapter for the Hamilton and the most desired Railway Special logo, then we have a recessed sub chapter for the second hand. This Hamilton Railroad Dial is one of the most popular and collected of all railroad dials, both beautiful and the height of functionality. This fine Hamilton Railway Special Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

The Hamilton Railway Special Grade 992B Movement is one of the most durable and accurate of all Railroad Grade Pocket Watches manufactured. The Grade 992B first introduced in 1940 replacing the 992 in Hamilton’s line up of the finest of Railroad Grade Pocket Watches. The 992B is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of size pocket watches. The Hamilton Grade 992B is lever set and stem wound with 21 fine Ruby Jewels. Then we also have flush gold jewel settings, double roller, Brequet Hairspring, adjusted to 6 positions, high-grade micro regulator, gold balance weights, gold center wheel and train with a steel escapement, all designed for an incredibly durable and accurate timepiece. This fine Hamilton has just been serviced and it is an incredibly accurate timepiece, as designed.
