This is the first model Grade 992, the Model 1 that has the double screw winding wheel and the very ornate damasking on the nickel plate movement, the most desired of the 992s manufactured. The Hamilton 992 is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter, the most popular of sizes. This classic Hamilton Pocket Watch has the most desired configurations with the pristine Model 1 Grade 992 Movement, Hamilton Double Sunk Montgomery Dial, classic Yellow Gold Fill Railroad Case highlighted with the beatifully Blued Steel Spade/Spade Hands. This 992 was used and well maintained by the railroad and has many "Railroad Watch Inspectors" marks on the inside back cover. This finest of pocket watches is an excellent timekeeper, truly the scientific instrument of it day.
