Pristine Hamilton Pocket Watch Railroad Grade 992 Housed in the Elusive 14K Green Gold Fill Wadsworth Cross Bar Case circa 1924
Folks we have a very special offering for your consideration; this all original Hamilton Pocket Watch Railroad Grade 992 circa 1924 housed in the rare Green Gold Fill Cross Bar Case. The Hamilton Grade 992 and the Cross Bar Case was the first pocket watch Hamilton offered and advertised as factory cased and timed in 1924. The Cross Bar Case is the most ornate of the Hamilton Cases and true to the Art Deco Motif of the day. Hamilton did not issue another model case for two years and few others were offered in a 14K Green Gold Fill. Prior to this offering the jeweler or jobber or the day would match the case and movement to meet the customer needs and budget. We have one of most desired configurations with the Grade 992 Model 1 Movement, the pristine Hamilton Double Sunk Dial, Wadsworth Green 14K GF Cross Bar Case highlighted with the heat treated Blued Steel Spade / Whip Railroad Hands. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. All Antique and Vintage Pocket Watches are cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy and warranted for one full year from date of purchase.
