If you've ever wanted a pristine timepiece for your collection, so pristine in fact, that it appears to have never been circulated and never used, this Elgin Grade 252 Father Time may be just the pocket watch you've been looking for. This timepiece, manufactured in 1901, is one of the rarer railroad grade pocket watches in existence, with a total of 19,000 ever produced in total. The Elgin Grade 252 movement is housed in a stunning, size 18, Silveroid case that features flawless engravings that are as crisp as the day they were first cut into the case. The cartouche remains blank, just waiting for your initials to be added to this beautiful engraving design. Yet another rare feature included with this watch is its duel time zone hands, highlighted with a flawless double sunk enamel dial. The hands are colored in the more typical red and blue color scheme and run one hour apart. This particular set is known as a duel time zone hand set, with a two hour interval and thus providing a reading for time zones two hours apart. This feature was undoubtedly handy for managing railroad time tables more efficiently as the user could quickly read the time for every time zone in the U.S. with a +1 or -1 calculation for the interval time zone.
