We are pleased to offer for your consideration this pristine antique Elgin Pocket Watch circa 1917. The Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch Pocket of the day was manufactured to the highest of standards and we have an excellent example with this wonderful configuration; Elgin Grade 303 Movement, Pristine Porcelain Dial, original Blued Steel Hands and housed in this popular Octagon Keystone J Boss 14K White Gold Fill Case. The Elgin Grade 303 Movement is stem wound and stem set and a size 12 measuring 1¾ inch in diameter. The Size 12 Dress Pocket Watch was a symbol of prestige and status and again manufactured to the highest standards. This all-original Elgin Pocket Watch is truly a rare find in such fine condition. This Elgin Dress Dial is in pristine condition with the heavy black stylized Arabic numerals and Elgin Logo against the bright white porcelain dial, beautifully finished. This single sunk dial is made using two Copper Plates soldiered together, and then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial the deep rich porcelain finish. This beautiful dial is highlighted with the original Blued Steel Spade/Whip Hands. This fine Elgin Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.
The fine Elgin Grade 303 Movement has 7 jewels and is stem set and stem wound. The fine movement has the desired antique damasking on the nickel plate movement. The 303 Movement also has a gold center wheel, flush gold jewel settings and is adjusted to 3 positions. We also have a steel escapement, micro regulator and gold balance weights, all for added accuracy. This fine Elgin Dress Pocket Watch has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper.
