OK folks we have a very special offering for your consideration with this Ball Hamilton Pocket Watch Railroad Grade 999P circa 1925. This is one of the highest-grade pocket watches manufactured by the Hamilton Watch Company or any other watch manufacture of the day. This Ball Hamilton Model 999P was manufactured in partnership with Webb C. Ball who at the request of the U.S Department of the Interior set the standard for railroad timekeeping in 1894, this was after a disastrous accident between two mail trains with extensive loss of life and propriety all due to a faulty timepiece. This is truly a collector's pocket watch, it is referred to as triple signed, that is the dial, movement and case are each marked patented Ball Model. Not only is this a triple signed Ball Hamilton Pocket Watch we also have one of the most desired configurations with the patented GF Ball Model 110 Stirrup Bow Case, 999 Movement and the porcelain Ball Dial all in pristine condition. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
