Pristine Ball Hamilton Pocket Watch Official Railroad Standard Grade 999B Housed in the Popular Stirrup Bow Case circa 1948
Folks we have a very special offering for your consideration with this Ball Hamilton Pocket Watch Railroad Model 999B circa 1948. This is one of the highest-grade pocket watches manufactured by the Hamilton Watch Company or any other watch manufacture of the day. This Ball Hamilton Model 999B was manufactured in partnership with Webb C. Ball who at the request of the U.S Department of the Interior set the standard for railroad timekeeping in 1894, this was after a disastrous accident between two mail trains with extensive loss of life and propriety all due to a faulty timepiece. Webb C. Ball did not produce pocket watches himself; rather he worked with the major watch companies to produce these finest of Railroad Grade Pocket Watches. This is truly the collector's pocket watch with this most desired configuration. This configuration is referred to as triple signed that is the Ball Official Railroad Standard Porcelain Dial, Ball 999B Official Standard Movement and housed in this 10K Gold Fill Ball/Keystone Official Railroad Standard Stirrup Bow Model Case all patented by Webb C. Ball. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. All Antique and Vintage Pocket Watches are cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy and warranted for one full year from date of purchase.
