O.K. folks we have another truly fine offering for your consideration in this pristine Elgin Pocket Watch Grade 297 circa 1905. The Elgin Grade 297 is a size 18 and measures 2 ¼ inches in diameter, a substantial pocket watch, the most popular size pocket watch at the turn of the century. This Gentlemen's Dress Pocket Watch of the day was a symbol of prestige and status and manufactured to the highest of standards, we have an excellent example with this fine configuration. The pristine Elgin 15 Jewel Movement, very popular Silverode Train Engraved Case, Pristine Roman Numeral Dial highlighted with the original Blued Steel Hands, all in excellent condition. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
