Hamilton Railway Special Grade 992B Housed in Desired Hamilton Model 11 Case
Hamilton's rich heritage as the go-to watch for unparalleled accuracy reached a new high in 1903 with their introduction of the Hamilton Grade 992. The 992 enjoyed a legendary legacy, and this Hamilton Railway Special Grade 992B model 5, produced in 1949, represents the final iteration of the iconic Hamilton Grade 992 series. This Hamilton Grade 992B is presented in a desirable 10K gold fill Hamilton Model 11 case, first introduced in 1940, and features a rare Montgomery dial in excellent condition. The brilliant white Montgomery dial, highlighted with a heavy inked bold font coupled with the eloquent engravings on the Model 11 case gives this pocket watch a stunning appearance. This watch was the workhorse timepiece of the American railway system through the first half of the 20th century. When you hold this watch in your hand it's easy to imagine the sights and sounds of the railways during the mid-20th century. It is truly a marvel of American engineering and in such excellent condition shows beautifully as an outstanding addition to your collection or as a valued family heirloom for generations to come.
