This high-grade 992B Movement is housed in a beautiful Hamilton Model 10 Yellow Gold Fill Case. An excellent example of the most desired configurations with this pristine Hamilton Double Sunk Railway Special Dial, Yellow Gold Fill Hamilton Model 10 Case, 992B Lever Set Movement highlighted by the original pristine Black Steel Spade / Whip Railroad Hands. The Hamilton Model 10 Case was first seen advertised by Hamilton in May 1936 and is one of Hamilton’s most classic railroad pocket watch cases manufactured. The Hamilton Railway Special Pocket Watch Grade 992B was first introduced in 1940 and was the pinnacle and the last of the great Hamilton Railroad Models introduced. Production started in 1940 and was the last off the production line in 1969 with a total production of 685,300 over 29 years in 31 production runs. This Hamilton Railway Pocket Watch is in pristine condition and hopefully the many pictures and extreme magnification help tell the story of this truly fine Hamilton Railway Special Pocket Watch.

This Hamilton 992B is faced with the desired Hamilton Railway Special Montgomery Dial; the Montgomery Dial has every minute marker counter out in Arabic numerals around the outer circumference and every 5 minute marker highlighted in red. This is the classic railroad dial and has the desired Hamilton Old English Arabic font numerals also on the raised outer circumference. Then the recessed center portion we have the desired Hamilton Railway Special logo written in block font. Then we have the recessed sub chapter to for the second hand. This fine Montgomery Dial is both beautiful and the height of functionality. This dial is the later Melamine Dial and is again in excellent condition without flaws. This fine dial is highlighted with the original beautiful Black Steel Spade / Whip Railroad Hands also in excellent condition. This fine Hamilton Railway Special Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come. The Hamilton Grade 992B is lever set and stem wound movement with 21 fine Ruby Jewels. This fine movement is also adjusted to 6 positions and adjusted to heat and cold with flush gold jewel settings and a double roller. This highest of grade pocket watches also has a high-grade micro regulator, gold balance weights, gold center wheel and train with a steel escapement all designed for an incredibly accurate timepiece. This highest of grade pocket watches kept the Hamilton Watch Company in the forefront of the major pocket watch manufactures and helped them maintain the title of “The Railroad Timekeeper of America”.
