Hamilton Pocket Watch Railroad Grade 940 Housed in this Rare Glass Back Hamilton Salesman Display Case circa 1905
We are pleased to offer for your consideration this classic antique Hamilton Pocket Watch Railroad Grade 940 circa 1905. This fine Hamilton is housed in a rare and desired Salesman Display Case with the glass back to display this pristine movement. These Hamilton Display Cases were used at the turn of the century and not sold to the public; the jeweler or jobber of the day as they were referred would use them for displaying these fine movements for sale, without getting dirt or debris in the movement. These clear back display cases are a favorite with Pocket Watch Collectors, seeing these fine movements working is truly striking. Then what could be better than to display a Hamilton 940 Movement? This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. All Antique and Vintage Pocket Watches are cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy and warranted for 1 full year from date of purchase.
