The Hamilton Watch Company made a commit to manufacturing high grade service pocket watches including Railroad Pocket Watches and other service pocket watches including this design for the Electric Interurban Railway Systems. This high grade Hamilton Pocket Watch Grade 974 is stem wound and stem set and measures 2 inches in diameter the most popular of sizes. This all original Hamilton has a wonderful configuration with the rare and desired Montgomery Interurban Dial, Grade 974 Movement, Dueber Watch Case Company Yellow Gold Fill Case and highlighted with heat-treated Blued Steel Hands.

This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. This Hamilton Pocket Watch has just been serviced. The service entails a complete disassembly all parts cleaned in an ultra sonic bath and then reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease then adjusted for accuracy on a digital timer.
