This Elgin Montgomery Railroad Dial is in very good condition bright white with heavy ink saturation. The Montgomery Dials have each minute marker in Arabic Numerals around the outer circumference, the height of functionality. This Elgin “Boxcar” Railroad Dial has the classic bold and functional Arabic font. This Elgin Dial is referred to as single sunk dial with the Elgin Logo and the Dura Power dp Logo in the center of the dial. This fine dial is uncommon in that it also has the model B.W. Raymond signature written out on the dial. This single sunk dial has the recessed sub chapter for the second hand. This fine dial is made using two copper plates, and then baked with many layers of Silica to give the dial depth and the rich Porcelain finish. This beautiful dial is highlighted with the original heat-treated beautifully Blued Steel Spade Whip Railroad Hands again in excellent condition. This all original Elgin Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for generations to come.
This Elgin 571 Movement has the wide Shadow Line damasking and is in pristine condition without reckless jewelers tool marks or corrosion. This fine Elgin Grade 571 Movement has 21 large fine Ruby Jewels and the Dura Power Mainspring for added durability and accuracy. This high-grade movement is also Lever Set and Stem Wound with a double roller, safety pinion, high-grade micro regulator and gold balance weights. We also have flush pressed jewel settings with a gold center wheel and train. This Elgin 571 Pocket Watch is also adjusted to 8 positions and temperature all designed for extreme accuracy and dependability. This has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.
