Extra Fine Elgin Pocket Watch 21 Jewel B.W. Raymond Railroad Model Housed in an Elgin 14K Rose Gold Fill Railroad Model Case circa 1927
Folks we have very strong offering for your consideration this Elgin Pocket Watch Railroad Model B.W. Raymond Grade #478. This extra fine 21 jewel B.W. Raymond Movement is lever set and stem wound and is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter the most popular of sizes. This is a wonderful example of Elgin's commitment to making the top of the line Railroad Pocket Watch. This model B.W. Raymond was manufactured from 1923 – 1944, with a total production of 185,000 in 90 production runs. This extra fine Elgin Grade #478 is cased in a beautiful 14K Rose Gold Fill Elgin Rigid Bow Case and reads "B.W. Raymond Model" on the inside back cover, this case was manufactured for this movement. This fine railroad case was made by the Wadsworth Watch Case Company for Elgin and also reads ‘Factory Cased and Timed By The Elgin Nat'l Watch Co." This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping. All Antique and Vintage Pocket Watches are cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy and warranted for 1 full year from date of purchase.
