The Hamilton Grade 975 is a size 16 Hunter Case pocket watch and measures 2 inches in diameter the most popular size pocket watch. The Hunter Case pocket watches are getting harder to find, the gold or gold fill cases are soft enough where not many have survived the last 100 plus years. This Hamilton Grade 975 is in excellent condition, the case functions as it should and the dial is flawless. This Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch of the day was a symbol of prestige and status and manufactured to the highest of standards. We have an excellent example with this desired configuration with the early Grade 975 Movement, 10K Crescent Case Company Gold Fill Case faced with the flawless Brequet style Hamilton Dial and highlighted with beautifully blued steel Brequet Moon style hands. This fine Hamilton Grade 975 is an accurate timekeeper and shows beautifully, sure to be appreciated for generations to come.

This antique Hamilton is faced with a pristine porcelain dial. This fine dial is referred as a single sunk dial; made using two Copper plates soldered together and then baked with many layers of Silica giving the dial the deep rich porcelain finish. The dial has the Brequet style Arabic numerals and around the outer circumference with the desired antique Hamilton signed script logo. Then we have a sunken sub-chapter for the second hand. A beautiful dial highlight with the Brequet style Moon hands. This Hamilton Grade 975 has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper.

The pristine Hamilton 975 Movement is stem wound and lever set circa 1908. This lever set Grade 975 Movement would have been accepted as railroad grade by the major railroads through the turn of the century. This 108-year-old movement has the ornate antique damasking highlighted with ornate black lettering. The Grade 975 has 17 fine Ruby Jewels, Brequet Hairspring, high-grade Micrometer Regulator, Gold Balance Weights, raised Gold Jewel Cup Settings with a Gold Center Wheel and Train.
