Elgin Pocket Watch the Gentlemen’s Dress Pocket Watch Housed in this Hunter Case circa 1883
Folks we are pleased to offer for your consideration this antique Elgin Hunter Case Pocket Watch circa 1833. This is a size 18 and measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter, a hefty pocket watch. These Hunter Case Pocket Watches are getting harder to locate in good condition, the gold and gold fill cases are a soft metal, and most not survived. This 14k Gold Fill Hunter Case is in excellent operating condition yet it does show years of appreciation and the engraving is no longer crisp. This is a wonderful configuration with heavy Box style case, Elgin 11 Jewel Movement, pristine porcelain dial with the popular Roman numerals and highlighted with these ornate heat-treated Blued Steel Hands. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for beauty and accuracy in timekeeping. This Antique Pocket Watch has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy. This entails a complete disassembly and all parts cleaned and reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease. This antique Elgin Pocket Watch is warranted for one full year from the date of purchase.
