The high grade Vanguard is more common in an Open Face configuration and extremely rare in this Hunter Case configuration winding at the 3:00 position. The Vanguard Movement is housed in this fine Dauber Hunter Case that is a size 16 and measures 2 inches in diameter, the most popular size pocket watch manufactured. These fine Hunter Case Pocket Watches are getting harder to locate in this fine condition. Many of these gold or gold fill cases with their steel spring latches did not hold up over the last 100 plus years, this is an excellent example of a fine Dauber Triple Hinge Hunter Case.
