We are pleased to offer for your consideration this classic antique Seth Thomas Watch Company Pocket Watch circa 1909. The Seth Thomas Watch Company opened in 1883 and was a very prominent clock manufacture. They operated from 1883 through 1915; their first pocket watches were put on the market in 1885. This wonderful 106-year-old Seth Thomas Pocket Watch is stem wound and stem set and is a size 18 measuring 2 ¼ inches in diameter. This was the Gentlemen's Dress Pocket Watch of the day and a symbol of status and prestige and manufactured to the highest of standards. This Seth Thomas Pocket Watch is in just excellent condition with without corrosion or reckless jewelers tool marks. This Seth Thomas Pocket Watch is truly the classic antique pocket watch with an Elk beautifully engraved on the back cover and still crisp. I so hope the many pictures and extreme magnification helps in the description of this fine Seth Thomas Pocket Watch. This is another excellent example of the late 19th Century early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
