Folks we have a wonderful offering for your consideration in this antique Howard Gentleman's Pocket Watch circa 1910. The E. Howard Watch Company has a strong collector base. The was the Gentleman's Dress Pocket Watch of the day and a symbol of prestige and status. This mechanical Howard pocket watch is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter, the most popular size pocket watch. This Series 4 has a 17 jewel movement, and is stem set and stem wound. This antique Howard movement has the desired "checkerboard" damasking pattern on the nickel silver plates. This was truly the scientific instrument of the day in 1910, on par with the smartphone of today. This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for beauty and accuracy in timekeeping. This Antique Howard Pocket Watch has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted for accuracy. This entails a complete disassembly with all parts cleaned and reassembled using the finest watch oil and gear grease. This Antique Howard Pocket Watch is warranted for one full year from the date of purchase.
