The first model Hamilton Grade 992 is the finest of movements and is identified by the low serial number, double screw winding barrel and ornate damasking. The total production for this Grade 992 Model 1 was only 100,600 over 14 years from 1903 through 1917. The Grade 992 was produced from 1903 through 1940. By 1940 over 610,000 grade 992's were manufactured, making it the most popular railroad pocket watch ever built. This classic Hamilton Pocket Watch has the desired configuration with the Model 1 Grade 992 Movement, Hamilton Double Sunk Montgomery Dial, very popular silver tone Defiance Railroad Case and highlighted with the original beautifully blued Steel Spade Whip Railroad Hands.
