This Hamilton Model A Case and the 992B Movement were first seen advertised in 1940. This configuration advertised as "factory cased and timed" and was benchmark in Hamilton's production. The Hamilton Grade 992B Movement was the pinnacle and the last of the great Hamilton Railroad Models offered.
