Rare Waltham Canadian Pacific Railway with Logo on Movement and Custom Case
Between 1850 and 1957, the Waltham Watch Company made tens of millions of pocket watches. They’re all magnificent. Some are more magnificent – and rare – than others. This circa 1900 Canadian Pacific – branded pocket watch qualifies on both counts.
Its pristine “boxcar style” Canadian dial – the most desirable for railway service – combines Arabic and Roman numerals to create a minimalist masterpiece, perfect in every detail.
The spectacular P.S. Bartlett grade movement features a scintillating mix of symmetrical damascening, florid decoration, exposed jewels, bold typography and the hugely desirable Canadian Pacific shield (complete with resting beaver).
This Waltham is one of only 300 made during its production run. Its blemish-free gold fill case is astounding. There aren’t any seams (the front and back bezels screw off at the bezel). I’ve never seen that before.
Most likely you won’t see this watch again – unless you add it to your collection. An unassailable choice.
All our treasured timepieces are completely disassembled, expertly cleaned and oiled using the finest quality watch oil and gear grease, and adjusted for accuracy. Full one year warranty.
