This 21 Jewel Premier Movement is faced with the most desired dials for this model with Waltham Premier and 21 Jewels written on the dial. This Waltham Railroad Pocket Watch is all original and a wonderful configuration. This Waltham 21 Jewel Premier Movement is in excellent condition without reckless jewelers tool marks or corrosion. In the pictures I tried to capture the extra fine large Ruby Jewels and just how these jewels were tooled to create an anti-friction movement. The finish on this movement is referred to as a Butlers Finish or Brush Finish. The movement has 21 extra fine Ruby Jewels, adjusted to 6 positions, double roller, and is also adjusted to heat and cold. This fine movement also has a high-grade micro regulator, gold balance weights, flush jewel settings, gold center wheel and is lever set and stem wound with a steel escapement. This Waltham 21 Jewel Premier has just been serviced and is an excellent timekeeper as designed.

This is the most desired Waltham Dial for this movement with the name Premier and 21 Jewel count written out, not all pocket watches received this dial. We have the name and jewel count in the recessed center chapter with a sunken sub-chapter for the second hand. Then we have the classic Waltham Boxcar style Arabic Railroad Numerals around the outer circumference with and then every minute maker every 5-minute marker with a black diamond. These fine dials are made using 2 Copper Plates soldered together and then baked with many layers of Silica give the dial the deep porcelain/glass finish. The Waltham Premier 21 Jewel Pocket Watch shows beautifully and is sure to be appreciated for many generations to come.

This is another excellent example of the late 19th early 20th Century ingenuity that made the American Pocket Watch a worldwide standard for accuracy and beauty in timekeeping.
